The Dekitu processing station of Guji is operated by the Alemayu and Mekonen families who have been functioning since 2011. There is a collection of approximately 500 farms in about 800 hectares of land surrounding the town of Haro Sorsa. During the off-season, banana plantations are grown for food. The coffee is collected daily and then separated into grades before being selectively processed in a combination of drying sequences. Many of the locals boil off the hulled shell of natural coffees and brew it like tea as an alternative to roasted and brewed coffee.
